Uttarottar Tech Solutions ("we," "us," or "our") operates the VahanShield web application. This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service. This policy is compliant with the Information Technology Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 of India.
1. Information We Collect
- Personal Information: When you register, we collect your Mobile Number for OTP verification (via Fast2SMS).
- Vehicle Data: We collect Vehicle Registration Numbers, Chassis Numbers, Engine Numbers, and related RTO data (RC Status, Insurance, PUC, Challans) fetched through authorized third-party APIs.
- Uploaded Documents: Documents you manually upload to the "Digital Vault" (e.g., RC copy, Insurance copy) are stored securely on our servers.
- Payment Information: For Premium subscriptions, payments are processed securely via the PhonePe Payment Gateway. We do not store your UPI PIN, CVV, or full card numbers.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and maintain the Service (e.g., Free Digital Vault).
- To notify Premium members (₹499/year plan) about upcoming document expirations via automated SMS, Call, or WhatsApp alerts.
- To fetch and display real-time RTO and traffic challan data.
3. Data Security & Sharing
Your data is secured using 256-bit encryption. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We strictly share necessary data fragments with authorized third-party APIs (such as SwiftVerify and Invincible Ocean) solely for fetching vehicle and challan records, and with payment gateways for transaction processing.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
You can delete specific documents from your vault or remove a vehicle entirely from your dashboard at any time. Upon request, we will delete your user account and all associated data from our active databases, subject to legal obligations.
