1. Description of Service
VahanShield provides a platform for users to securely store vehicle documents (Digital Vault) and retrieve publicly available RTO records and traffic challan information. Users may opt for a "Premium Plan" to access live API fetching and automated expiry reminders[cite: 6].
2. User Obligations
- Lawful Use: You agree to use VahanShield only for lawful purposes. You must only add and search for vehicles that you own, operate, or have legitimate authorization to track[cite: 6].
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your OTP and session data[cite: 6].
- Accuracy of Data: VahanShield acts as a bridge to fetch data from government databases and third-party APIs. We do not alter this data and cannot guarantee the 100% accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of RTO or Challan records[cite: 6].
3. Payments and Premium Services
- The Premium Plan requires a non-refundable payment per vehicle per year[cite: 6].
- Payments are securely processed through authorized RBI-regulated gateways[cite: 6].
4. VahanShield Premium Guarantee & Claim Policy
We offer a unique guarantee for our Premium members: "If VahanShield fails to send timely reminders and you receive a challan due to this failure, we will pay the challan amount." To ensure transparency and prevent misuse, this guarantee is strictly subject to the following conditions:
Eligibility for Claim (क्लेम की शर्तें):
- The vehicle must have an active Premium Membership at the time of document expiry.
- The challan must be specifically levied for the expiration of Insurance, PUC, or RC/Fitness.
- The mobile number and alternative number registered on VahanShield must be active, reachable, and opted-in to receive WhatsApp/SMS communications.
- The document expiry dates fetched by our RTO API must be accurate. If the API fetches incorrect dates from the source, the guarantee does not apply.
When is the Guarantee Void? (गारंटी कब रद्द होगी?):
The guarantee is ONLY valid if our server completely fails to initiate the automated reminders (at 10, 7, 5, 2, or 1 days prior). If our system logs confirm that the reminder was successfully delivered to your registered number via SMS, WhatsApp, or Voice Call, and you failed to renew the document, VahanShield will not be liable for the challan.
Claim Process (क्लेम प्रक्रिया):
- Notify Us: Email us at support@utix.in within 7 days of receiving the challan.
- Submit Proof: Attach a clear copy of the official Government e-Challan and your VahanShield Premium invoice.
- Verification: Our technical team will audit the system and communication logs (SMS/WhatsApp delivery reports).
- Reimbursement: If a system failure on our end is confirmed, we will reimburse the exact penalty amount levied for the expired document within 7-10 working days.
5. Limitation of Liability
Except for the specific conditions outlined in Section 4 (Premium Guarantee), and to the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Uttarottar Tech Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service, or any traffic fines/penalties levied by authorities[cite: 6].
6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Nohar, Rajasthan[cite: 6].
